Every so often I like to readdress the issue of the title of this page because of the importance of its message. Think Free Be Free, a simple 4 words that carry life changing implications to those that can understand and apply there meaning. So with this week’s blog I’d like to take some time to address it again in hopes of illuminating something new for new followers.
We could talk passion all day, it is a catch word, and there have been thousands of articles written about it; but it still seems to be something covered in mystery.
A life of passion is a life of Achievement.
Passion is something that most people seem to only get in spurts. They have a fit of it about a topic on Tuesday, don't really think about it after its gone and don't really wonder what they could or should do with it while its here. Everyone wants to achieve as much as they can in their lives, but most people seem to fail to grasp on to the fact that passion is the driving force behind all major achievements.
It might not even be a passion for the achievement itself so much as it is a passion or drive to make a parent or loved one happy. Passion shows itself as an intense emotional connection to a topic. I myself am very passionate about helping people get what they want out of life, that passion drives everything I do, it gives me energy when I'm tired, ideas when I'm empty, and it drives my thoughts all day every day. This passion to help was something that I noticed I had 10 years ago, but it wasn't until 5 years ago that I began to seek it out and hold on to it with everything I have in me. Also important to not that in the last 5 years I have achieved more things that I am proud of then I had in the whole of my life before I went after it.
Passion is a sign that you are deeply in tune or in harmony with a certain subject or desire. You vibrate on a like wavelength with the thing, you feel strongly connected with it. Some say that passion is how God tells you what it is you are supposed to be doing with your life. But passion isn't always a flurry of energy, it normally starts out as a keen interest that once fed with knowledge and support grows into a raging fire. A life filled with passion keeps the soul warm, consumes the challenges of life, and fuels the soul that propels the body and mind into action.
In that passion can be created with only 1 of 2 ingredients: New knowledge or new activity. It can't just be any new knowledge or activity though, it must be of the kind that makes you feel like you are or can make an difference in the world. Your passion is the driving force for your achievements in the world so it only makes sense that it would need to be sparked by things that make you believe that you can change things in the world. When you read on a topic that gives you information on how you can make things better or makes you feel in control you begin to feel the embers of passion. When you participate in an activity that demostrates to you the power you have within your grasp to change the things around you passion shows itself.
What are you passionate about? I have met some many people that don't really know, they don't have a clue what truly fires them up. Think about what consumes your thoughts, when you dream big what do you dream of? Is there something you can do, read about, or talk about for hours non-stop and feel completely energized and excited the entire time? If you didn't have to worry about money and all the other problems of life, what would you do? What do you want to be remembered for, how do you want to leave your mark on the world? These questions can help you to identify your passion, and following your passion will open up a new world for you filled with excitement and adventure.
What Do You think about passion, what is it for you, leave your comments and tell me what passion means to you.
Follow your passion, because your passion will not follow you.
For this blog I decided to do a part 2 of the you need people video I shot a few years ago. I cannot stress this enough as everywhere I go I see people trying to go it alone and ignoring the intellectual capital they have all around them. This will also be posted in the video Section
For this blog I decided to bring back an older post which can be seen by clicking here and adding a new flair to it. I've decided that I will also expand the idea by periodically uploading new words and so on and so forth. I hope you enjoy, remember to leave a comment and share. Click on over to the new section by clicking here or checking for the positive vocabulary link under the blogs tab.
Decided to play with some of the toys that I have gotten to try to make the blog more fun. I actually got the idea to blog in this manner while thinking on a conversation I was having with a Joseph Ward who runs a blog on black history and personal improvement, you can view it by clicking here. Anyways on to the blog at hand, today I chose to do something short and sweet on the birth of an idea. I have to get warmed back up into my blogging world, it has been about 5 months since I wrote something for me. Check back next week.
Its been awhile since I blogged, I have been busy with a bunch of transitions. But, as I always say, perseverance is the key to moving forward so with that being said, I am coming home. I have been working on several books on a number of different topics, a documentary, organizing a new award show, helping out with a magazine and a number of other things so forgive me for not communicating the way I should. The blogs will be returning on Tuesdays with that same short but raw feel as the last blog I wrote, I look forward to interacting with you all again, and thank you for all the messages that you have sent to me through various channels. See you next week.
I know its been awhile but I'm back, had to take some time to figure somethings out, but now that it's over with, lets get going.
When is the right time to do anything?
I submit to you the people that the right time to engage in anything worth engaging in is Right now. This will not be one of my typical positive blogs, and more than likely most of my blogs from here on out will be in this fashion because I am tired of speaking and not being heard and people talking and not saying anything.
First off I’d like to say congratulations to everyone involved either currently or in the past for all the help and support. Think Free Be Free is 3 years old today and it has been quite a journey of wonderfully great success that have been matched by the epic failures, *laughing* but it has been more fun than not and way more rewarding than detrimental. So with this being the 3 year anniversary of Think Free Be Free (the book and business not the blog, the blog with be 3 years old in October) I would like to take this time to address the one topic that has been head and shoulders above the others insofar as questions being asked about it. That topic is: Prayer.
Most people need the most help in this area of self improvement and I am just like the rest of you as I struggle with this
often enough myself. I was talking to a friend of mine many years ago who was saying that his mouth always gets him in trouble. He
can’t help it; sometimes stuff just runs out of his mouth before he even knows what’s happening. What I found interesting about this conversation was that the problem he was having with his mouth is the same problem most people have with their minds.
On some days you just don’t have anything to say. And on those days its best to just not say anything and try to force it. So with that being said, I will see you guys next, be sure to check out some of the other blogs and to hope on over to the products page to get a your copies of the books.
