What makes human beings different from any other form of life on the planet? Well to me the answer is simple; I can boil down every response you would give me to the freedom of our minds to create something from nothing. The power of the human imagination has shaped every facet of human existence since we first developed the power to imagine. One could argue that the power of the human imagination has shaped the planet, everything surrounding it, and everything on it to an amazing degree. Think of all the comforts that you now enjoy, cell phones, air travel, computers, all of these things started out as a dream for someone at sometime. What did they do, they decided to work on making that dream a reality and they got others to believe in that same dream and have faith that they could accomplish things that had never before been done. All of human culture and advancement has hinged on the imagination of the few people with the drive and determination to make their dreams a reality.
But how does your imagination benefit you, maybe you don’t believe that you have a very good imagination at all because your just not that creative; well I’m here to tell you that you are wrong. Imagination is the engine that motors the car of faith, with prayer being the gas and emotion being the driver. When you go into prayer you should be imagining that whatever it is you are grateful for acquiring but haven’t actually received yet is already in your possession. You need to feel it, capture the emotion of having it, and anchor that memory to that emotion so that every time you imagine you feel. Imagine your life how you want it to be, pay little attention to how it is now when you go into these fits of creativity. Slowly start to allow your imagination to reach out and touch the world around you and you will start to notice after time that the world around you will slowly become yours. Know that whatever you dwell on is what will come, so use your imagination to dwell on good things and desire them until they become a need.
At the start you may need to designate a room as your “Creative Center”, and every time you walk into that room think, “It’s time to start creating.” Train your mind through exercise and persistence and continuously imagine your life the way you believe it. The brain can’t tell the difference between imagined events and real events so use that to your advantage. If you have a speech to give, imagine giving it they way you want, have the scene play out in its entirety over and over in your mind. Feel all the emotions, see all the faces, smell all the smells and hear all of the sounds. Use this as your practice for the real thing and you’ll notice that when its time to do the real thing, it won’t be nearly as bad as you thought it was going to be, indeed it might actually be fun and come off as a routine part of your day. In all cases and all walks of life remember that your imagination is your power to create nothing from something, it is your ability to program your world to give you want you want. If you don’t learn to harness the power of your imagination then you will not be ruler of your world, your world will be the ruler of you.
Well there it is, I hope you got something from that. As always comments and questions are welcome. If you have something you want me to hit on in my next post let me know. Post will be on Tuesdays from now on. Thank you.
